Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Scouting Robotics website and participation in any programs, including Tech Crests™, summer camp, and related activities (collectively, "Services"). By accessing the Site or enrolling in any Service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

Eligibility

Our programs are designed for youth participants (students generally between the ages of 10 and 18) with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Adults may participate as coaches, mentors, trainers, or sponsors.

Programs & Services

Scouting Robotics offers Tech Crests™ (a structured skill-development program for robotics team members) and an annual Robotics Summer Camp. Program details, schedules, and availability are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any program with reasonable notice.

Registration & Payment

Registration for paid programs (such as summer camp) requires payment in full at the time of enrollment unless otherwise noted. Prices are subject to change without notice prior to registration. An early-bird discount may be available and subject to a stated deadline.

Refund Policy: Cancellations made 30 or more days before the program start date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made 14–29 days before are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the start date are non-refundable. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to our contact email.

Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to treat fellow students, mentors, coaches, and staff with respect. Behavior that is harassing, discriminatory, dangerous, or disruptive to the program will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the program without refund.

Intellectual Property

Tech Crests™ is a registered trademark of Scouting Robotics, Inc. All program materials, curriculum, documentation, and website content are the intellectual property of Scouting Robotics, Inc. and may not be reproduced, modified, or distributed without express written permission, except as permitted under the terms of any open-access license we publish.

User-Submitted Content

If you submit content to us (such as through a contact form or program feedback), you grant Scouting Robotics a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with our programs and communications. You represent that you have the right to submit such content.

Disclaimers

Our programs are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that program content is error-free, that sessions will be uninterrupted, or that any specific outcomes or certifications (beyond our own Tech Crests™) will be achieved.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scouting Robotics, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your participation in our programs or use of our website.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scouting Robotics, Inc. and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your participation in any program.

Privacy

Your use of our website and programs is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued participation in our programs after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pennsylvania.
